Snag.gr Logo Draft #2

I realize you all could probably care less about play-by-play logo concept updates, but I appreciate any feedback I can get. I just took my previous draft and made a few updates to it. I think it's turning out quite well and I am, for the most part, happy with it. I've included the first draft for reference.

I'm a bit torn on a few things, though. At first glance, you can tell that some bits have a drop shadow while others don't. Everything has a glossy finish to it, but while it's a very hard edge effect on most of the text and shapes, the blue dot has a curved one. It's a bit inconsistent, but we'll see what happens in the end.

Who knows, maybe I'll just end up hiring this guy again and be done with it.

Tell me what you all think!

I think the effects on the dot are a different style than the rest of the logo. I think it looks good but the dot looks a bit out of place. Possibly work on making it match the style of the chat bubble a bit more. Either way it's looking good, I like the second layout of the logo better, the slogan looks better on the right than underneath it.

Oh, I agree on all points, Nick. I'll go ahead and make another version with a more standardized look throughout. Any comments on the typeface I used? I always seem to fall back on Arial.

Yeah, so I'm back. I went ahead and made those changes you recommended by making the dot a bit more standardized and it looks terrible. Too terrible to even bother with posting. :(

I would also like to add that the blue dot is about 5 pixels too low.

I like the font you used. Nice slogan, too... you sneaky cunt ;) I would use the red of the chat bubble for the dot. It's a stronger color and you might want to make to "search" button on your website look like the dot, just bigger.the slogan would look better if it wouldn't stick out. another option would be to put it right in the middle and make it stick out on both sides.

Thanks, Felix. I'm usually terrible at this stuff, but every once and a while I come up with something I actually like. I'm afraid, though, that I can't agree with the idea of having a red dot. I realize blue is a corporate color, but it's kind of soothing and goes well with red.

I'll admit, I haven't tried making the bubble blue as well. Maybe I'll give that a shot and see how it looks.

Not sure about placing the tag line below the logo and then center it. I'unno, I'll have a play with everything and see how it turns out. Thanks for all the suggestions, guys. Keep'em coming!
